Melanie Janene Thornton was born in May 13th 1967 in Charleston, South Carolina. She studied voice from the age of six, played the piano and the clarinet and learned how to act and to dance. Later she financed her College studies with appearances in talent shows and smaller band concerts. She frequented a club called The Peacock Lounge, getting up and doing jam sessions when the live band invited people up to sing. She had long dreamed of a career in music. Her parents had a friend of a friend who was a singer in Charleston. Even though she didn't get to go out and see her, she saw pictures and heard them talk about her work and heard her talk about going out on the road.When she was growing up her mother would listen to Aretha Franklin, Roberta Flack and The Temptations, a lot of the Motown music artists. She would mimic the female vocalists she saw on TV or heard on radio. More tomorrow

Cascada, Claudia Cazacu, La Bouche

Cascada launched an unplugged version of her single "Evacuate the Dancefloor". The maxi cd was released official on 4th September and can be found here. The single still claiming on world charts, being the most requested tune on radios.




Claudia Cazacu released another track called "Glamour" and it's made with Vicky Devine. Also Claudia was nominated on Djmag you can vote for her here.

Melanie Thornton was the front vocalist of eurodance project La Bouche till '99, when decided to released a solo album, but in 24th November 2001 Melanie died in a plane crash near Zurich, just when her album was to be re-released on the 26th of November.
Lane McCray (La Bouche) said then : "The magic died with her and cannot be recreated".

La Bouche, Pardisio, Alexia

La Bouche is still touring, even without Melanie. They will be in concert in Chile in June .
Lane said that it’s working at new material for La Bouche the release of new material will be next year.


Paradisio released Bailando me dices adios which is a remake of the original Bailando, featuring a new female vocalist (thanks to Ivan).


Alexia just gave an interview to Sicilian television and she spoke why she choose to sing in italian!?… Alexia said at that period in 90’s, everyone asking “Who is this girl? Can sing for real ? or the girl it’s a studio product !?” (At that time Alexia sold 5 millions of copies ) and then thought to wrote a song in Italian and to participate on Sanremo festival …
Also Alexia said that would do a tour in Italia and her future single will be an collaboration with Bloom 06( Eiffel 65) the track will be called “We the power” and the release will be this summer. The track can be found on her newest album with collaborations "Alexia & Co".
